Centre Place is proud to be leading the way with sustainability. With our full table service in the foodcourt to support proper recycling efforts and a station to refill your reusable water bottles with filtered, chilled water – we are taking small steps to ensure that we’re doing our bit to help the planet, reduce our footprint and help preserve our environment for future generations. Next time you pop in to see us – check out the water bottle filler to get an update on how many bottles we’ve diverted from landfill (at our last check, it was over 70,000!!!)

This July, join us as we celebrate Plastic Free July – “a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans and beautiful communities”. Start small by doing your bit at home (find some great tips here!), or by picking up a reusable shopping bag next time you visit us – get yours now FREE from our Customer Service Desk when you visit (stocks are limited, so get in quick).

Our most recent addition to our efforts is six, already well utilised, electric vehicle (EV) chargers which have been installed in our Bryce Street carpark building, and ten e-bike and e-scooter chargers. Our EV chargers are located on Level 1B of the carpark building and are suitable for type 1 and type 2 chargers. We offer two hours of FREE charging when you shop with us, to keep you going! We look forward to seeing these be utilised for many years to come. We know the electric vehicles are a way to slash greenhouse emissions (they emit 80% less C02 than the equivalent petrol vehicle) and are so happy to support early adopters who are already making this positive change. Our e-bike and e-scooter chargers have been installed on the corner of Ward Street and Worley Place outside Moochi. Simply bring your charging cable, download the app, lock your ride in and you’re good to go! These are also available free of charge to the public and we are excited to be providing this service for local commuters.
